Cassie Uribe

Cassie Uribe, LICSW, she/her/ella always knew she wanted a career helping others. She thought that her career would be in medicine until a position working with pregnant and parenting teens caused her to reevaluate her path and settle on mental health. Cassie received a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in children and families and military social work in 2015. She’s currently a Doctoral candidate at California Southern University.

Cassie spent her early career working in community mental health agencies, and while she enjoyed one-on-one interactions with clients, she felt stifled by the pressure to move people through the process quickly and meet productivity requirements of the agency.. She began her private practice so she could spend time treating clients’ mental health needs in a more meaningful way. Cassie has experience with severely mentally ill patients, homeless and marginally housed populations, and anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and many other mental health needs. She’s worked in community-based, home-based, telehealth, and in-office settings.

Cassie’s experience in private practice prompted her to launch Blue Agave Therapy and Wellness Services so she could reach more people and focus on her areas of specialty. Clients of Blue Agave benefit from Cassie’s experience while enjoying personalized service tailored to their needs. Cassie made the decision to stop accepting insurance so she could better fulfill her purpose of effectively working through mental health concerns with clients. She enjoys the freedom to incorporate multiple modalities, schedule sessions that are as long and as frequent as a client requires, and develop a team approach to mental health care.

Cassie keeps her client base manageable, so she shows up to each and every session as a whole, rested, engaged person and remains fully present throughout your time together. Clients benefit from Cassie’s energy and commitment to help them create the lives they want while eliminating the struggles that hold them back.

Cassie’s specialty areas include anxiety, depression, adults working through childhood trauma, imposter syndrome, people pleasing, and ADHD evaluation and treatment. She’s particularly adept at helping women with a late-in-life ADHD diagnosis find tools and strategies to eliminate struggle and build the life they want.

When she isn’t working, Cassie enjoys time with her children and family, running, gardening, or escaping into a book. From a young age, Cassie and her family spent time together in the kitchen creating Mexican family recipes. She continues that in her own home today and enjoys finding new recipes to master in addition to traditional dishes..
